Today's page from the sketchbook

Always watching and silently judging, frogs are cool. Here's a sketch for a page in a book coming out this fall. "The Turkey Train" is about turkeys on a train. So I drew frogs. What's wrong with me?

Nice Jim!! I always thought frogs were judgemental too. No one believes me...

I believe you, Andi. I'm good with all of the judging as long as some of their comments are positive. But that's a lot to ask for.

Frogs seem surly, don't they, Jim. No, not shirley, surly. Just wanted to clarify.

Seriously, I love the pose of the frog on the right..that's how I'd be if I were a frog watching a turkey train pass by. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with you illustrating frogs instead o' turkeys. Look at how awesome they are! And look at how our eyes are drawn to the train! Perfecto!

Thanks, Shirley. The frog on the right was fun to draw. Frogs are a mystery. Who knows what they are up to while we aren't around. Thanks again!
