Today's page from ye olde sketchbook

The morning fog has drifted inland to reveal a quiet seaside village. The smell of salt air and warm biscuits usher in a wave of sweet nostalgia. In a secret location, the Norwegian Fighting Clams are restless and struggling to free themselves from their reinforced harnesses. Today they even the score.

GO Norway GO! (Sorry, I have Norwegian friends who like a good fight!)..
but hopefully the seaside village inhabitants will batten down the hatches as I'd hate to see anything get wiped out! Awesome illustration Jim. How DO you do these fantastic pieces so effortlessly?!!
(I am jealous!)

Thanks so much, Andi! And thanks a ton, Shirley. Your comment made me LOL, as the kids say. It seems like nothing is effortless lately so I really appreciate the kind words! This was drawn on the plane back from Maine. You gotta amuse yourself somehow.

Great skecth! This reminds me a bit of BIsbee , AZ. Was there once. Except for the 4 buildings in front which reminds me of Slavic Village in Cleveland, and that scary angler fish which reminds me of the one in the Natural History Museum that I can't look at very long without believing the devil exists. A norwegian devil no doubt.

I love Bisbee! Did you know they have a haunted hotel there? We plan to stay there sometime in the next few months. I love angler fish. Devious critters. Thanks, Debbie!
